New Avatar Registration
In order to participate in the v-Business virtual world you will need an Avatar. An avatar is a three dimensional character that represents you in this space. As this virtual world is focused on real life business the Avatar should be an approximate likeness of yourself. The following tutorial provides information about the registration process and creating your account.
Register Your Avatar Name
The first step in connecting to the v-Business Grid is registration. To the left, you will find a menu item for "Register Avatar". When you select this, you will be requested to complete a form.
The next step is to select a v-Business Sandbox FIRST NAME and v-Business Sandbox LAST NAME. This will be the name of your Avatar in the virtual world. Unlike fantasy worlds we like to use our real names if possible here. If you do not want to use your real name please use a name that you are commonly known as. If your name is not available please select a name that is similar to your real name. This name will be displayed to everyone in world. This will also be your Login Name in the v-Business Grid.
Select a Secure Password
You now need to select a PASSWORD. We recommend a strong password that confirms with strong password rules. A password that is at least 7 digits long and contains 1 numeric character in the middle of the word. We also recommend that you do not use the same password as any other system you are using. Please make this password unique to this account.
Select Your Home Region
The START REGION is your home area where your avatar to always start. If you do not know your home region just leave it set to Terra Nova 1 and you can change it later. Selection of a home region is important as you will not be able to connect if your home region is down and you have selected to start from your home region in your client.
Enter Your Personal Details
Now your details so please enter your real FIRST NAME and LAST NAME as well as your ADDRESS including your ZIP or POSTCODE, CITY and COUNTRY. We will not disclose this information to anyone without your permission and will use this information for the purpose of creating an experience that is optimized for your location. Next we need your DATE OF BIRTH to select the level of content you are able to view. Our Grid is designed for General viewing but we may need to change the rating of content at a later date. The format is DAY MONTH YEAR.
Provide an Email Address
We need an EMAIL ADDRESS. If you are creating an email to represent you as a member of a business or company then please use that email account. ie This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . We would prefer you do not use a gmail, hotmail or other free account as we like to try and ensure our database contains real not fictitious people. You will need to confirm your email by typing it again
Create Your Account
Finally the last step is to press CREATE NEW ACCOUNT and wait for an email. You will receive the email from This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it so you may need to add this email account to your spam filter or look in your junk mail box. You will receive a link in the email to confirm your account. If you do not click on this link within 24 hours your account is automatically deleted.
The next process is to install a client !
